A Breakthrough in the Field of Traditional Herbal Medicine

Dhanwanthari Health & Wellness Solutions ( DHWS) joint hands with Molecular Research Company, Scopeful Bioresearch (SBR).

Dhanwanthari, the global epithet of integrated herbal medicine, along with the traditional wisdom and intuition in Ayurveda treatment since 1933, has decided to expand the herbal research at molecular level on par with modern medicine. On Kerala Day November 1st 2021, Dhanwanthari ,the pioneers in the field of traditional Ayurveda and Scopeful Bioresearch, the Kochi based Molecular Research Company jointly signed an agreement ( MOU) at Bionest, Kinfra, Kochi. The main objective of the research collaboration was the implementation of Molecular Concept in Ayurveda and Herbal Genomics at Industrial scale. Dr. C.Mohankumar, Managing Director of Scopeful Bioresearch handed over the signed MOU to Gopakumar Pillai, Director & CEO of Dhanwanthari at the official function held at Kochi. Satheesh Kumar.P, GM of Dhanwanthari and Dr Salini Bhasker, Director, Molecular Division , Scopeful Bioresearch were present at the function.

On the occasion, Dr C. Mohankumar, the Managing Director of Scopeful Bioresearch opined “Today the term molecular medicine is very popular in the advanced platforms of Biotech research in order to understand the molecular basis of diseases at genomic level, to reveal the mode of action of classical and traditional drug in cell system and to develop and design new drug combination with respect to the molecular properties. So, the molecular interventions of human diseases in Ayurveda treatment have enormous scope in the clinical therapy and it definitely elevates the marketing strategy of traditional Ayurveda medicine at international level”. During the meeting Gopakumar Pillai, CEO, Dhanwanthari has said “Dhanwanthari and Scopeful Bioresearch plan to start a Molecular Ayurveda Research Centre at Kochi for the industrial production of herbal formulations with respect to Diabetes, Dementia and Cancer. Moreover, Dhanwanthari and Scopeful will provide molecular training to Ayurveda doctors and other medical professionals in handling molecular tools and techniques in Herbal Genomics. As the initial step, Dhanwanthari jointly with Scopeful will launch a product named as UNARV as dietary supplement that reduces the risk of Diabetes, enhances memory and activates immunity.” Pillai added.
